Hello Traveller,

It is lovely to meet you. My name is Pixie, and this is my best friend, Bumble. We would like to officially welcome you to the Isle of Neverwas. Usually, you would find us working at the Lost and Found Exchange in the Village of Nap, but today we are your tour guides.

It can be a little bit disorientating when you first arrive on the island, especially if you have never travelled by magical portal before. Bumble recommends a cup of tea and a biscuit; it does help.

By now, you might have realised that there is something special about Neverwas. This is an enchanted island, with a diverse community of magical folk, talking animals, and daydreamers like yourself. As you explore, you might find your bus driver is a troll, or you are served ice cream by a water sprite, or that you are sat next to a bear on a park bench while they are reading a newspaper. It can be overwhelming at first. For most people, encountering animals that can talk can be a bit startling. You’ve always suspected they could understand you, and well, now you know.  

Our community of islanders is amazing. We are a friendly bunch, kind, caring, and we love to support and help one another. We also love celebrations and, randomly, a bit of competition to keep things interesting.

Our other best friend, Travelling Ava, has joined us at the Lost and Found Exchange. She is a magical travelling doll, adventurer, and explorer. Like you, my rebellious mischief-maker, she arrived on Neverwas by accident and decided to stay a while and explore. Travelling Ava is excited to share her adventures with you. She has lots of stories about the island, the new friends she has met, and the discoveries she has made along the way. She hopes her tales will inspire you to explore.

Bumble is busy working with Travelling Ava to create a guidebook for the island to help you navigate the different locations as you traverse Neverwas. I’m here to help you, too. I’ll be introducing you to the residents of the Isle of Neverwas. I enjoy being creative and will be sharing my crochet patterns with you.
